Sirevåg harbour
Every summer the idyllic harbour in Sirevåg is a popular destination for sailors and boaters.
Sirevåg has a very large jetty/breakwater protecting its harbour (Europe’s second largest man-made jetty) which makes it a safe and good place to dock. It’s closest neighbour to the north is Jærstrendene, with beautiful open-air beaches and wide horizons. During World War II, the German occupiers built a fortress on Vedafjellet, just south of Sirevåg, as part of "Festung Norwegen". Viewpoints and caves in the mountains are still intact and are visited by a large number of tourists each year.
